Call of the Wild
In silence, l walk
your sacred ground,
Beneath the bough
of birch and pine,
To a world you
guard courageously,
So far away from
mine,
There is wisdom in
your watchful gaze,
You stand
undaunted by my stare,
With truth
reounding from your spirit,
Through the night
winds, like a prayer,
You sense my
footsteps gather closer,
And question,
should you remain?
Will you survive
the presence,
Of this stranger,
uninvited to your domain?
l marvel at your
beauty,
And cry as you
slowly leave,
With a call from
your soul pleading,
" Let my wild
heart run free "

Sorrow, you have
come to call,

Dancing within the
medcine wheel,
A guardian wolf
protects her side,

Great Spirit,
" Let our children
walk with pride,"

this Mother earth,
Forgive the sins
of man,
For the
destruction created in his path,

Father's plan",
"Bring peace to
all creation,
Guide us with your
gentle hand,

Life's lllusions
We seek to conquer
empires,
When the kingdom
lies within,
We thirst for
knowledge of the ages,
Rejecting answers
as they begin,
We struggle for
survival,
Taking on the
world against all odds,
Challenging those
around us,
Dismissing souls
without a cause,
We are enslaved by
our possessions,
Denying us the
freedom we desire,
Regardless of the
sacrifice,
We are still
driven to acquire,
We shelter
ourselves in mansions,
Yet, leave others
in the cold,
Preoccupied with
selfishness,
We neglect the
hungry, sick and old,
We lust for power
and position,
To be a legend in
out time,
All the while not
knowing,
